Foracer Ajira unveiled its new livery for the 2013 iWCGPS.

March 2 marks the beginning of the fourth iRacing World Championship Grand Prix Series season. This is also the fourth season Foracer Ajira Racing will compete in the world’s premiere online road racing series. The team is really looking forward to the red lights going out in just two weeks. Over the winter period the team has further evolved, mainly by joining forces with motion simulator manufacturer Foracer, and also strenghtening the team by addition of Max Dell’Orco.

Along with those additions, the team also proudly presents its season 2013 car, designed by our team manager Tero Dahlberg.

“Inspired by elements of both the Foracer motion simulator graphics and the new Ajira Racing logo.” — Tero Dahlberg

“While the first ever Foracer Ajira Racing paint that was on the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 was heavily inspired and based on their motion simulator graphics, this design is more original,” he says. “It’s a combination and inspired by elements of both the Foracer motion simulator graphics and the new Ajira Racing logo. Thanks to Foracer for being open to using a simplified version of their logo on the car as it increases readability to a whole other level. Though to be honest they already had noticed the same issue before I pointed it out and had applied the same fix.”

Martti Pietilä, who finished the 2012 season in 12th position has set himself high goals for the upcoming season, and said that he cannot be satisfied with anything  other than a top 10 position at the end of the season.

If Pietilä has his way, competitors become accustomed to this view of his Williams-Toyota FW31.

Daniel López, 15th in the points last year, is also planning to improve.

“As I’ve already told my teammates, I’m very excited to start this season,” he says. “In the last one I could finish in very good position the races I practiced for, and the goal for this one is to finish in the top 12 in points. I’m sure I can get it.”

With the hardware updates Daniel made during the wintertime, there is no doubt he will be someone to watch during the season.

Petteri Kotovaara said that he will push “107%” throughout the season.  This being his third year, the experienced Finn said that he has never felt this motivated before the season start. He continues by saying that the car looks good, wheel, pedals and computer works, and there is nothing that can stop him.

2013 marks the team’s fourth consecutive season of iWCGPS competition.

After a very strong season in the iRacing Road Pro Series, Emil Spindel is really looking forward to the upcoming season as well. Good development of the car, and good spirit within the team will give us the extra boost that is required. Emil is expecting Ajira Racing to make quite a surprise for the competition.

Lastly, Max — the latest addition to the team — said that he will be aiming for podium finishes during the season.

Overall the team, drivers, management and other people behind can’t wait for the season to start. During the winter we displayed that we have the pace. All the preparation is done.
