Tyler D Hudson scored an impressive victory in the inaugural iRacing.com Late Model Invitational tournament last night at Iowa Speedway. A winner in one of the evening’s four semi-final online races, Hudson started from the pole position, took the lead at the start and was never headed.

Texan Charles Cosper, another semi-final winner, kept things close throughout the 30 lap event. After slipping from second to fourth in the early going, Cosper regained the runner-up spot on Lap 5 and ran within half a second of Hudson most of the way before taking the checkered flag .6s adrift of the winner.  Joshua Laughton (California), John Bage (Carolinas) and Darwin Meints (MidWest) completed the top five.

In addition to Hudson and Cosper, other semi-final winners included Joey Israelson (New England) and Brandon Ketelle (Florida) in the two-night tournament that attracted over 400 entries.
