Greger Huttu scored a convincing win in Saturday’s iRacing.com Championship Series Road Race event at Watkins Glen.  The defending iWCSRR champion started from pole and led 45 of 56 laps to take the checkered flag 6.2s clear of Hugo Luis with Luke McLean coming home in third.

iWCSRR championship leader Klaus Kivekäs had a race to forget.  Although he vaulted from fourth on the grid to second on the opening lap, a Lap Five incident eliminated him from contention and he was, ultimately, classified thirty-third at the finish.  Kivekas’ My3id teammate Jesse Nieminen fared only slightly better, coming home fifteenth after an early incident of his own.

The results leave Kivekäs (285) with a diminished but still decisive lead in the 2011 iWCSRR points race while Luis (241) and Huttu (237) leap-frog past Nieminen (225) as the series heads to Sebring in two weeks.
