The iRacing World of Outlaws Carquest Auto Parts Sprint Car Series season takes on its sixth round of the 2022-23 campaign with a trip back to Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Illinois. As always, the action can be seen live at 9PM ET on twitch.tv/iracing and DirtVision.

Last Race: James Edens’ hopes of a podium finish two rounds ago at Lincoln Speedway ended when the three-way battle for second all crashed together on the final lap, but the iRacing World of Outlaws veteran didn’t take long to put that race behind him. Battling once again with Timothy Smith up front, Edens returned to the winner’s circle at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 after taking the lead for good off the final restart.

Last Season: Fairbury produced one of the most unexpected finishes of the 2021-22 season, when race leader and eventual series champion Cameron Merriman caught the wall and ended up in the catchfence while coming around to take the white flag. Evan Seay, who was running second, would take the lead from Merriman and wind up with the race win.

Track Info: Located on the town fairgrounds in Fairbury, Illinois, Fairbury Speedway is known as “America’s Dirt Track” for delivering one of the country’s most compelling dirt track experiences. The quarter-mile, semi-banked oval hosts premier events at all levels, from the Prairie Dirt Classic and FALS Showdown for the World of Outlaws Late Models to the DIRTcar Summer Nationals.

Coming Up: The iRacing World of Outlaws Carquest Sprint Car Series season rolls on next Monday with a trip to Cedar Lake Speedway. Last time out at Cedar Lake, Hayden Cardwell took the checkered flag after dominating the feature event, scoring his first of two wins on the season.
