July 1st, 2026 by Chris Leone

The Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Virtual Championship will once again return to iRacing for the 2026 season, with a six-event, 10-round championship planned to run from August through October. Championship winners will be eligible for an exciting slate of prizes that include a Mercedes-AMG Motorsport GT Sport Experience, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team Track Side Experience, and Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Gaming Hardware Upgrade.
Racers can now attempt to qualify through iRacing’s Time Attack mode, featuring the Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, which runs through July 19. A top division of the fastest 36 drivers will be created based on the results of the Time Attack, while a second 36-driver group will be created for a lucky slate of raffle winners. After the third event, the bottom three drivers in Division 1 will be relegated, the top drivers in Division 2 will be offered a promotion to Division 1, and a new slate of raffle winners will be created to fill the rest of the Division 2 field.
The Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Virtual Championship schedule is as follows:
- August 5: Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
- August 19: Oulton Park
- September 2: Mugello Circuit
- September 30: Road Atlanta
- October 14: Fuji Speedway
- October 28: Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
For Spa and Road Atlanta, races will last 45 minutes and feature a mandatory pit stop. The remaining race days will feature two 20-minute sprint races. All races will feature a fixed setup.
