The addition of Oulton Park and Kentucky Speedway, together with a host of new features and infrastructure improvements, highlight iRacing.com’s 2011 Season 4 release.

An integral part of the fabric of the British racing scene for more than half a century, Oulton Park boasts eight different configurations, including the 2.8 mile, 12 turn International Circuit, the 2.2 mile, seven turn Island Circuit and the 1.6 mile, six turn Fosters Circuit — each as challenging as it is picturesque.  Long-time host of IZOD IndyCar, NASCAR Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series events, Kentucky is the latest track to join the NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule. And if last summer’s overflow crowd for the 1.5 mile oval’s first Sprint Cup race is any barometer, Kentucky figures to be among the most popular new tracks in the burgeoning iRacing catalog.  Oulton Park is available now, while Kentucky is on pre-sale and will be ready in just a few weeks.

Classic Oulton Park is one of the highlights of the 2011 Season 4 release.

The New Tire Model, first introduced in Season 3, has been installed on seven additional cars including the Corvette C6.R, Mazda MX-5 and Roadster, SpecRacer Ford, Late Model, Street Stock and Legends Ford.  This brings to more than a dozen cars  – including all the base content – now equipped with the NTM, with additional cars expected to be added during the season.

A host of new features have also been added to the iRacing service, including moving driver arms in-sim and replay, night versions of Charlotte Motor Speedway and Iowa Speedway and enhanced pit lane graphics including war wagons on the ovals and and pit tarp/tents on the road courses.  The mixed class racing series have been modified so that members only need own any one of the cars in order to participate and spectate in a mixed class race.

And as part of its ongoing efforts to insure members enjoy a state-of-the-art online racing experience, iRacing will soon add a third server farm in The Netherlands near Amsterdam complimenting those already online in Boston and Sydney.
