With the season coming to a close, desperation is setting in for the NASCAR iRacing A Class Series for sim-racers making a run to get their black stripe to enter the top eleven in points and make the NASCAR iRacing Pro Series.

To get into the Elite Eleven these mathematical scenarios apply. The Magic Number has fallen again from 2599 to 2477, but this week it should see it sustain and maybe fall to a high 2400. It all depends on how the bubble drivers do this week.

CLINCHED

1 Simon Crochart 2650 281 CLINCH CLINCH
2 Randy Hockaday 2516 270 CLINCH CLINCH

Simon Crochart and Randy Hockaday have mathematically clinched their spot into the 2013 NASCAR iRacing Pro Series. No one outside the Elite Eleven can catch them. Congratulations are in order for these two drivers.

4 Nicholas Morse 2381 210 306 IN
5 Brandon Hauck 2375 152 254 IN
7 Benjamin Burmeister 2286 145 336 IN

These drivers can all clinch their spot into the Elite Eleven with solid finishes this week.
Assuming that the Strength of Field Races will be around the 5600 mark…

Tom Moustakas can clinch with a 3rd place or better finish
Nicholas Morse can clinch with a 5th or better finish
Brandon Hauck can clinch with a 8th or better finish
Benjamin Burmeister can clinch with a 2nd or better finish

ON THE BUBBLE

8 Steven Gilbert 2233 230 474 IN
9 Charlie Foster 2218 171 430 IN
10 Nicholas Goertzen 2216 228 489 IN
11 Kory Henry 2201 230 506 IN

These sim-racers are your bubble drivers, a bad week here and it could knock them out of the Elite Eleven, a solid week and they could find themselves in clinching positions next week.

Charlie Foster is in one of the better positions here, a relatively low drop week can get him to vault up in the standings and prevent him from having his bubble burst.

The rest of the drivers all have about the same amount of drop points so when it comes down to it, these drivers should be racing each other pretty hard on the track trying to avoid being popped.

OUTSIDE LOOKING IN

14 Sascha Wesler 2139 204 542 IN
15 Brandon Hauff 2129 229 577 IN
16 Dwayne Vincent 2124 224 577 IN
17 Ashley Miller 2079 133 531 IN

Strong weeks from this group of drivers here and they can find themselves in the Elite Eleven.

These guys compared to the bubble guys have lower drop weeks. So finishing higher than their drop and you could see these drivers move up quite a bit. Ashley Miller has a drop of 130. If he wins a race this week he could easily move into the bubble and set himself up for a run for the Pro Series next week.

23 Brad Patton 1920 186 743 IN
24 Shane Dougherty 1916 186 747 IN
25 Nolan Scott 1799 0 678 IN

These guys are still in it but they need help from the guys above them in the standings and get a few wins in the next two weeks to even have a chance. Nolan Scott still has a week to give. Although he cannot catch the Elite Eleven this week, Two very strong weeks and he can get a spot.

ELIMINATED.

31 Brad Mahar 1676 161 962 ELIM
32 John Bunton 1674 182 985 ELIM

These drivers plus anyone outside the Top 30 positions are eliminated from gaining a spot in the Elite Eleven.

So there you have it, well at least the way I see it. Good luck at NHMS to the remaining 23 drivers vying for the remaining nine spots. And we will see you next week at Indianapolis.
