Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and spotter TJ Majors stopped by the iRacing offices in Bedford, MA yesterday en route to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for this weekend’s Lenox Industrial Tools 301, Race #17 on the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule.  Earnhardt and Majors took some time to do some roll reversal with Majors running some laps in the iRacing Chevy Impala COT with Earnhardt as his spotter for the day.

Dale Earnarndt, iRacing CEO Dave Kaemmer and vehicle dynamicist Eri Hudec offer TJ Majors some tips on driving the iRacing Chevy COT.

What were Dale’s tips?

I love driving the Chevy COT and I am always trying to get better. What were some of his tips?

Probably along the lines of brake early, don’t overdrive and get on the gas early and have fun?

I appreciate Dale taking time to help us virtual nascar “wanna be” drivers…

Thanks Dale!

I really appreciate all the work that iRacing has done to make such a great racing simulator. I’ve been waiting for something like this going all the way back to the Nintendo game consoles. ( I know pretty bad) You can ask my wife, the first thing I would do when walking into a video rental store is head on over to the video games looking for that real racing experience in the form of a game.

I don’t feel old, but at 49 I can’t help but wonder how much one does lose talent wise. One wouldn’t think it would matter much, I mean it’s not like your throwing 95 mph fast balls or anything. But you do see it happen to the greats in racing as far as the age effect. Anyway I love it, and enjoy the constant evolution in the devolpment of the sim.

Also thank’s Dale for your involvment in iRacing. It just shows to me how much you must love racing. Good luck in your real life racing.

Thank’s again, Jeff

This blog appears to recieve a good ammount of visitors. How do you advertise it? It gives a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something useful or substantial to post about is the most important factor.
