iRacing.com is the leader in on-line racing for sim racers around the world. With almost 30 official action packed series from Rookies to Pros and including official series sponsored by the likes of NASCAR , Grand AM and INDYCAR it was only fitting that we provided editorial coverage for all the action. To that end, we hired award winning motorsport journalist David Phillips to lead the effort. A little over a year ago we released version I of inRacingNews.com. Since then David has recruited a host of talented writers to cover the iRacing.com action and cover our sport including Jason Lofing, Jameson Spies, Chris Hall, Jordan Hightower, Tony Rickard, Tim Terry, Chris Leone, Henrik Muller, Patrick Atherton, Scott Carter, C. Cunningham and Ryan Terpstra among others. Our sincere thanks to all these passionate and talented folks for helping us in this endeavor!

Although the coverage and writing keeps getting better and better, in concert we also wanted to focus more on sim racing and bring the site more to life for our community. We wanted to make it be more of the day to day fabric for the iRacing.com community. We will still include interesting stories from real world racing but found 90% of the stories read on inRacingNews were stories about iRacing.com and sim racing so that will be even a greater focus going forward.

I also want to thank our multi-talented Jay Scullin who has put together the website for inRacing News version II, along with version I for that matter. How Jay is able to do projects like this along with the 100 other things we require from him I don’t know but I think you will enjoy the new features and fresh look of inRacingNews!!! Here are some of the highlights of V2:
