2025 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series | Preview | Race 6 at Talladega
April 22nd, 2025 by Justin Melillo
The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series returns on Tuesday night with the sixth race of the 2025 season at Talladega Superspeedway. This marks the 10th visit in series history to Talladega, spanning back to the inaugural season in 2010, a race won by Brad Davies. Only Nick Ottinger holds multiple victories at Talladega, in 2019 and 2021. He will be looking for his third, while Casey Kirwan, Bobby Zalenski, and the defending winner, Dylan Duval, all chase their second. Everyone else will be aiming to claim their first win at the famed superspeedway.
The second segment of the 2025 season also begins at the 2.66-mile D-shaped oval in Alabama, a four-race stretch where the driver with the most points at the end of it will be awarded five playoff points.. This will be the first of two fixed setup points races in the 2025 season, meaning all 40 drivers will be using the same virtual setup settings.
2024 Daytona winner, Wyatt Tinsley, will make his return to the series as a fill-in driver for Taylor Hurst on Tuesday night, driving the #33 Dude Wipes Chevrolet for Team Dillon Esports. Hurst was suspended for one race for hitting the series’ incident limit at Rockingham.

LAST RACE
One of the longest-scheduled races of the season, Rockingham Speedway delivered on a perfect blend of drama, strategy, and entertainment. From the drop of the flag, the race got turned upside down as the pole sitter, Nick Ottinger, had a bit of a slow roll to the line as he spun the tires slightly. This allowed Dylan Ault to take the lead for a while. Collin Bowden led for a few laps as well, but it was Tucker Minter taking over, leading half the laps, and winning his first race of the 2025 season as Zack Novak scored the Segment 1 title.
LAST YEAR
It wasn’t the first time in series history, but it is the most recent case of an eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series event going into Triple eNASCAR Overtime just to end under yellow flag conditions. This time, it worked out in favor of Halifax, Nova Scotia’s Dylan Duval, who claimed his second-career victory at the end of 80 laps, breaking an eight year drought since his first win back in 2016. Duval was able to be ahead at the time of the caution, in front of Garrett Lowe and Tucker Minter, and the victory propelled him to his first-career eNASCAR Playoff appearance.
TRACK FACTS
Envisioned by NASCAR founder Bill France Sr. to be even bigger and faster than Daytona International Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway opened in 1969 and has hosted the NASCAR Cup Series ever since. Renowned for its high speeds, Buddy Baker became the first driver in NASCAR history to turn a 200 mile per hour lap at the track in 1970, and Bill Elliott set NASCAR’s all-time qualifying record at Talladega with a speed of 212.809 mph in 1987. Talladega is also known for producing many first-time winners, such as Richard Brickhouse in its inaugural race, and lead changes, sometimes with dozens of drivers leading laps.
NEXT RACE
Following Talladega, the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series will take a break for nearly a month before returning on May 20th for the seventh round of the season at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Last season, it was the closest finish in eNASCAR history as Garrett Lowe barely nosed out Jimmy Mullis for the victory.
