From September 29th to October 4th, over 250 eligible collegiate iRacers took to Charlotte Motor Speedway in hopes of qualifying for the second Tournament of the 2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series season, presented by Logitech G. Dubbed the Queen City Crown, 100 students have qualified for the upcoming second Tournament on October 7th.

A total of 420 eligible students successfully registered for the upcoming season, those iRacers representing 249 different schools across the United States and parts of Canada. 255 of those students representing 144 different schools attempted the Time Attack. 68 of those schools will be represented in the first week of the new Tournament, 10 of which will have multiple students competing. 24 of the registered schools are eligible for the new School Championship in this Tournament.

95 total schools have made both Tournaments to date. 48 schools were also a part of Tournament 1, which means 20 new schools are on display this week. 35 of the students will be making their Tournament debut for this season, with 65 of them able to qualify for both Tournaments so far.

The Peachtree Pursuit Tournament winner, Tarrant County’s Jacob Wilkerson, will be back again in the Queen City Crown. Dylan Ault (California State University, Sacramento) will once again be the No. 1 seed for the Queen City Crown. Calgary’s Connor Yeroschak headlines the field, which will be a part of a potential double duty moment for him should he make the Final Round, as he will be in Charlotte, North Carolina competing for the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series title at the NASCAR Hall of Fame one day earlier.

Former Coca-Cola Series competition in Brian Mercurio (DeSales) and Timmy Holmes (Horry-Georgetown) will be back in the fold again this week. Other regulars, such as Jonathan Evans (Western Connecticut State) and Nick Luetje (Purdue Indianapolis), find themselves qualified in as top-five seeds.

Once again, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is packing the roster, with 18 students making it to the Quarterfinals this time, that group led by Aidan McFarland in the Time Attack. Belmont Abbey is also racing at home this week, and has gotten seven students through to the Quarterfinals, led by Jalen Atkins. Bowling Green State is sending three, while Ball State, Ontario Tech, Purdue, Purdue Indy, Alabama, Delaware, and UNOH are all doubled up for the first week of competition at Charlotte.
