The season opener at Daytona is in the rearview mirror, and despite that venue’s chaotic characteristics, the two best drivers from the past two eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series seasons wound up finishing in the top-two spots. In a role reversal from the 2024 championship, it was the new Spire Motorsports star, Steven Wilson, on top for the first time at Daytona, barely edging out Williams Esports’ Parker White for the win.

With how close those two entered the season in these Power Rankings, the balance shifts back in favor of the 2023 champion with his win. It’s very close, but that’s how it works—Wilson holds a provisional spot in the Playoffs while White still has to punch his ticket, hence why Wilson holds the top of the rankings.

Wilson’s win, along with a seventh place finish from Femi Olatunbosun, the other Spire Motorsports machine this season, places the real-world NASCAR team at the top of the Team Standings and Team Power Rankings entering Las Vegas. Here’s how the rest of the field stacks up in the Power Rankings entering the second race of the new year.

LAS VEGAS DRIVER POWER RANKINGS | Wilson, White see-saw at the top

The top of the Week 2 Driver Power Rankings look the same, but different, as Steven Wilson moves ahead of Parker White by virtue of his victory. In the last four points paying races dating back to last season, Wilson has two wins and a runner-up finish. The same holds true for Parker, but hey, recency bias has the most-recent winner moving to the top.

Tucker Minter (William Byron eSports) turned the tables around on how he started 2024 by scoring a top-five, which vaults him up to a podium spot on the Power Rankings. In fact, if there were a “Big 3” to be determined, it isn’t outside the realm of possibilities that Tucker has a hand on that third seat this season. That’s not to say the former holder of the third spot, Bobby Zalenski (ERA eSports Team) isn’t a near-lock for the Championship 4 again this season—he’s done it six out of eight times. Unfortunately, Bobby Z already has a hole to dig out of after finishing 33rd.

Two former champions, Casey Kirwan (Kansas City Pioneers) and Zack Novak (Channel 199 Sim Racing), were strong at Daytona. Kirwan was, perhaps, one bad bump from having a shot at that win, while Novak was able to make the right moves, just barely missing out on a podium finish at the line to Malik Ray (Vegas Inferno), who once again has started this season off with a great Daytona finish.

Malik, Zack, Jordy Lopez (BS+COMPETITION), and Femi Olatunbosun are the new additions to the top-10 this week. Both Jordy and Femi have wins in prior seasons, and a good result at Daytona could mean that both have the confidence to get back to victory lane again this season. The only other driver in the top-10 of the Power Rankings that didn’t get a season-opening top-10 finish besides Zalenski was his former teammate, Daniel Faulkingham (Six Karma). Faulkingham led at one point on the final lap, but a last corner crash faded him down to 14th.

Another driver who led on the final lap was rookie Connor Yeroschak (Letarte eSports). The eNASCAR Qualifying iRacing Series Round 2 champion had a rough go in the Contender ranks, but still he managed a Dover win in that period, and nearly kicked off the 2025 season—and rookie campaign—in a fashion that only a handful of drivers have ever done: with a win. Yeroschak joins Dylan Ault (HYAK Motorsports) and Timothy Holmes (RFK Racing) in the top-20.

Three drivers still in the top-20 but fell hard down the order were Graham Bowlin (Kansas City Pioneers), Garrett Lowe (BS+COMPETITION), and Donovan Strauss (Williams Esports). All three were caught up in something or another through the evening at Daytona. Falling completely outside the top-20 (for now) are Nick Ottinger (William Byron eSports), Vicente Salas (Kanaan Esports), and Briar LaPradd (JR Motorsports). I think all six of these drivers have a case to move back up the rankings as the season progresses, but the math just currently isn’t in their favor.

LAS VEGAS TEAM POWER RANKINGS | Everything is coming up Spire

The Team Power Rankings weren’t as volatile as the Driver Rankings were, but in both cases, Spire Motorsports came out on top. The numbers are very close between the two teams, but the most recent finishes among both teams’ drivers sealed it for the second year team entering Week 2.

While the Kansas City Pioneers and William Byron eSports both faltered a bit, one of the newbie teams, the Vegas Inferno, had a big jump from seventh to third. Their numbers are closer to KCP below them than the two ahead, but still, a fantastic start nonetheless for the newcomers as they enter their home race this week at Las Vegas Motors Speedway.

Just outside the top-five, Six Karma was up front and in your face the majority of the opening round at Daytona. While Eddie Kerner succumbed to race-ending damages, he and Faulkingham were the stars for a good chunk of the time, often tandeming to the front and staying there. The other teams that were in the top-10 entering Daytona also stay in the top-10 entering Las Vegas—all but eRacr, that is. And that’s not to say eRacr had a bad Daytona, as they are 11th out of 20 teams in the physical points. Letarte eSports, however, just had a huge opening round and takes that last spot for now with their fantastic results two weeks ago.
