FIA F4 Global Esports Championship presented by Moza begins Saturday; Global roster revealed

The FIA F4 Global Esports Championship presented by MOZA returns this weekend, and 39 drivers across three regions around the globe are set to battle for their share of an increased prize pool of $35,000 in the 2025 campaign.

As it was for the inaugural season in 2024, drivers qualified onto the roster through the FIA F4 Regional Tour series during iRacing Season 3, which started in June. Three regions—The Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe—ran 12 weeks of competition, open to all iRacing members, with each region’s venues making up their unique schedules. Those in the Americas would have to conquer tracks such as Indianapolis and Interlagos, while Asia Pacific battled at tracks such as Bathurst and Suzuka. Europe would also have a broad range of venues which included Brands Hatch, Imola, Magny-Cours, Portimão, and the Nürburgring, just to name a few.

The roster is composed of 39 drivers, with 13 drivers representing each of the three regions. 10 drivers were selected from the final standings of the Regional Tours, while the top-three in each region from the 2024 season were automatically locked back into the competition.

Last season, it was Luke McKeown from the United Kingdom, representing the European region, who claimed the title over two Spaniards, also representing Europe—Alejandro Sánchez and Aaron Vazquez. Chile’s Nicolás Rubilar represented the highest-finishing driver from the Americas region in the final standings, while Japan’s Alejandro Sendra was on top of all competitors from the Asia-Pacific region.

McKeown, Sánchez, Vazquez, and Rubilar are all set to return to compete in 2025. Other returning competitors include Damon Woods and Jaidyn Jadic from the Asia Pacific region, as well as Elvis Rankin and Jackson Rezende from the Americas region. Xander Reed enters the competition as the top ranked driver from the Americas, as does Dan Amor for the Europe region, both of which will make their series debut on Saturday. Shoma Shintani returns to the series after re-qualifying and winning the top seed in the Asia Pacific region. With Sendra not returning to compete in 2025, the 11th place driver from the Asia Pacific Regional Tour standings was given an invite to compete.

The relationship between iRacing and the FIA began in mid-2023, and since then, nearly 100,000 drivers have taken to the track in the virtual F4 machine, honing their skills as they begin to work their way into real-world racing. Series like our three FIA F4 Regional Tours, which focus on tracks within specific regions of the world, provide racers with a sim experience that reflects the start of a racer’s real-world journey.

In addition, iRacing has worked with over 80 FIA national sporting authorities (ASNs) to provide account support to sim racing newcomers around the world, as well as helping to create numerous national championship series.

This season, the purse increases to $35,000, with the champion slated to bring home $15,000. While practice is a common key to success in many professional settings, part of the allure of the FIA F4 Global Esports Championship presented by MOZA is that these 39 drivers won’t have any knowledge of where they are set to compete until 24 hours prior to the competition.

Doubleheader events have been scheduled for October 25th, November 8th, November 22nd, and the finale on December 6th. These events will be scheduled for the first server to open at 18:40 GMT with 15 minute races at each track to follow a slate of practice and qualifying. Drivers will also compete with fixed setups, ensuring an equal playing field for all.

The opening round kicks off on Saturday, October 25th, at 19:00 GMT, or 3:00 p.m. ET. Every race will be broadcast live across all of iRacing’s social media channels.
