The GT3 Challenge has its share of close racing action at Phillip Island!

As we enter the final racing week of the iRacing.com GT3 Challenge debut season, let’s have a quick rundown on the action which took place at Phillip Island for Week 11. Italian driver Mario Bertolotti made his presence known when he completed the hat trick with his dominating performance during the Australian Strength-of-Field (SoF) race. After taking pole position, Bertolotti won the race with a 7.5 second margin over runner-up Bruno Barbugli, and also set the fastest lap time of 1:26.560. In addition to his hat trick performance, Bertolotti also finished the race cleanly by not acquiring a single incident point. Tony Autridge  completed the podium after he starting P6 and moving through the field to finish in third.

There were plenty of movers and shakers in this online race as well. Michael Cutajar, who started on the front row in second, lost a few positions but was still able to nab a top-five finish by completing the race in fourth. After starting in P12, Guy Leach had an incredible drive as he kept himself and his RUF RT 12R out of trouble and finished an incident-free fifth.Racing Games

With Phillip Island regarded as one of the world’s most challenging race tracks, it came as no surprise when almost half of the field either retired early from damage taken during incidents or were disqualified after hitting the incident cap.

With Week 11 done and in the books, here is a rundown of the top-10 drivers on the Championship leader board:

1 Julian Rodriguez Moreno 2150
