Drive Naval Base Coronado on iRacing before June 19-21’s NASCAR San Diego Weekend presented by Anduril

iRacing and NASCAR are pleased to share that the Qualcomm Circuit, the all-new NASCAR street course built on Naval Base Coronado in California, is officially available as part of iRacing’s new 2026 Season 3 release. iRacers can now license and drive on the new circuit in advance of NASCAR’s real-world debut at the facility on Father’s Day weekend, headlined by the NASCAR Cup Series Anduril 250 Race the Base and supported by both the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

“We’re excited to continue our incredible work with NASCAR to help bring Qualcomm Circuit to life on iRacing before the inaugural NASCAR San Diego Weekend,” said iRacing president Tony Gardner. “Bringing this new layout to life on a military base is one of the most impressive accomplishments yet in our decades-long partnership. We’re looking forward to helping real-world NASCAR stars get ready for the event by giving them access to the track before they get to drive it for real later this month, and we’re excited to see fans’ first reactions to the course as well.”

“iRacing is an incredibly valuable part of how we bring new venues to life,” said NASCAR Chief Operating Officer Ben Kennedy. “Long before the first piece of pavement is laid, we’re able to build, test and experience these tracks in a virtual environment, which helps us refine ideas and see what’s possible. The fact that fans can now drive Qualcomm Circuit on iRacing before we race there in person is a great example of how closely the virtual and real worlds work together at NASCAR.”

Qualcomm Circuit is the latest in a long line of recent partnerships between NASCAR and iRacing to bring tracks to life virtually before the real-world stars race on them. iRacing’s work was instrumental to developing both the quarter-mile oval within the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum that was raced in the preseason Clash from 2022 to 2024, and the Chicago Street Course that ran each Fourth of July weekend from 2023 to 2025. iRacing was also a crucial part of the redevelopment of EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta alongside Speedway Motorsports, reconfiguring it into one of NASCAR’s most unique 1.5-mile ovals.

The new circuit, designed by iRacing and NASCAR, features a mix of fast straightaways, sharp corners, and chicanes across its 3.4 miles in length. Drivers will charge across the Ellyson Start/Finish Line into a gradual first turn before hitting their first heavy braking point onto Tow Way in Turn 2, while the back half of the lap features multiple sharp corners, including the challenging Coronado Chicane in Turns 8 and 9.

Qualcomm Circuit adds an exciting new flavor to the rich history of NASCAR racing in Southern California, which has previously spanned everything from superspeedways to short tracks and road courses. NASCAR also brings auto racing back to Coronado for the first time in a decade, as the base had previously hosted smaller vintage racing events.
