After a hard-fought qualifying series this spring, the iRacing World of Outlaws ButtKicker Late Model Series finally makes its long-awaited return this Monday night at Volusia Speedway Park. As always, the 10-week quest for a $25,000 championship purse can be seen live starting at 9PM ET on DirtVision and at twitch.tv/iracing.

2023 Schedule: Featuring 10 of the most prominent dirt ovals in America, the 2023 the iRacing World of Outlaws ButtKicker Late Model Series schedule is as follows:

  • July 10: Volusia Speedway Park
  • July 17: Fairbury Speedway
  • July 24: Cedar Lake Speedway
  • July 31: Port Royal Speedway
  • August 7: Knoxville Raceway
  • August 14: Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55
  • August 21: Williams Grove Speedway
  • August 28: Eldora Speedway
  • September 11: Lincoln Speedway
  • September 18: The Dirt Track at Charlotte

2023 Drivers: As always, 35 of the world’s best virtual dirt racers will be doing battle over the 10-week campaign, and many of them should be familiar faces to those who have been watching over years past. Led by defending series champion Evan Seay, the list of returning series veterans includes regular front-runners like Blake Matjoulis, Dylan Yeager, Kendal Tucker, and James Edens. All five also took part in the World of Outlaws CARQUEST Auto Parts Sprint Car Series over the winter.

Last Year: Volusia served as the penultimate round of the 2022 series campaign rather than the opener, but it was still Seay who came out on top after a dramatic final-lap incident with Tucker that allowed him to clinch the series title a week early. It was Seay’s fifth win of the 10-race campaign, although he briefly lost the lead to Tucker on the final lap after the two traded aggressive sliders and contact.

Track Facts: Home to the DIRTcar Nationals each winter for more than half a century, Barberville, Florida’s Volusia Speedway Park is one of the staple facilities on the World of Outlaws and DIRTcar calendars. Known as “The World’s Fastest Half Mile,” the track was expanded to that length during original owner Benny Corbin’s tenure, one of many transformations since its 1968 opening. Now, the two weeks racers spend at Volusia in February are among the most prestigious rounds of the year.

Next Race: Following Volusia, the iRacing World of Outlaws ButtKicker Late Model Series heads to Fairbury Speedway for its second round of the season on Monday, July 17. Last year’s visit to Fairbury ended in a photo finish, with Hayden Cardwell coming out ahead of Seay.
