The iRacing World of Outlaws ButtKicker Late Model Series season hits the halfway point with tonight’s visit to Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55. As always, the action can be seen live at 9PM ET on twitch.tv/iracing and DirtVision.

Last Race: Once Evan Seay broke into the winner’s circle for the first time this season at Eldora Speedway, the floodgates opened for the current points leader. He went back-to-back last weekend with a dominant victory at Williams Grove Speedway, leading flag to flag as others couldn’t take advantage of multiple late-race cautions to get past him for the top spot.

Seay’s championship lead is now up to 37 points over Kendal Tucker, who scored a third place finish behind Dylan Wilson in last week’s action. Cedar Lake winner Blake Matjoulis remains third in points after a top five finish of his own, while Dylan Yeager and Logan Rumsey complete the championship top five. Behind Seay, the next five drivers are split by just 50 points, and with more than 70 on the line each week, it’s altogether possible that things can change dramatically on any given night.

Track Info: The third-mile Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 presents a unique challenge for dirt racers, not only from its length but also for its substantial banking. With 10 degree-banked straightaways and 19 degrees in the corners, it’s a fast, challenging track that has long attracted the sport’s biggest names—and the fact that racing legend Ken Schrader is the owner certainly helps, too. I-55 hosts both the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Cars and Case Construction Late Models each year, with the Sprint Cars running their longest feature of the year on the track with the Ironman 55 each August. The Late Models visited in June for the St. Louis Firecracker Faceoff with Dennis Erb Jr. sweeping both races.

World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing Pre-Orders Open: Pre-orders are open now for World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing, the official game of World of Outlaws coming to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on September 27. Three-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car champion Sammy Swindell is available as a pre-order exclusive. The title builds upon Monster Games’ established dirt racing platform with the presence of iRacing assets on a console for the first time. For more information, visit www.worldofoutlawsgame.com.

Next Week: Following I-55, the iRacing World of Outlaws ButtKicker Late Model Series kicks off the second half of its campaign with a visit to Indiana’s Kokomo Speedway. The Indiana-based quarter mile has a long history of hosting sprint car, late model, modified, and midget racing, including the World of Outlaws.
