The iRacing World of Outlaws ButtKicker Late Model Series season heads to Indiana tonight to kick off the second half of its 2022 campaign at Kokomo Speedway. As always, the action can be seen live at 9PM ET on twitch.tv/iracing and DirtVision.

Last Race: Evan Seay’s bid for a third consecutive win in five races to start the season fell just .236 seconds short at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 last Monday. Instead, the win went to his teammate Blake Matjoulis, who led 46 of the race’s 50 laps and became the second multi-race winner of the season in the process.

After a first-lap caution, the race went green to the finish from there, with Matjoulis extending his lead early before Seay clawed back and closed the gap. The duo would battle side by side in the final laps, crossing the stripe in a dead heat on one lap, before Matjoulis would reassert the top spot. Seay would settle for defending second place as Barrett Bishop put on last-lap pressure from third, but he’d still be able to extend his points lead to 46 at the halfway point of the campaign.

Track Info: At just a quarter mile, Kokomo, Indiana’s Kokomo Speedway is one of the shortest tracks on this year’s iRacing World of Outlaws ButtKicker Late Model Series schedule. Opened in 1947, the track has undergone various ownership, capacity, and facility changes over the past 75 years, including a track rebuild from scratch nearly 20 years ago. Kokomo hosts a mix of non-winged sprint car, late model, midget, and modified races each year.
