2025-26 eNASCAR College iRacing Series unveils new Tournament format

The curriculum has changed. The eNASCAR College iRacing Series returns with a brand-new format for the 2025-26 academic year.

Tournaments, Time Attacks, and Trucks headline the upcoming season, with $60,000 in scholarship prizes at stake.

Each of the six tournaments—three per semester—will feature 120 students competing over two weeks in the NASCAR Craftsman Trucks. 25 will survive and advance to each Final Round.

Registration for the series opens on August 5th.

TOURNAMENT BREAKDOWN

PRELIMINARY ROUND

Prior to each Tournament, students will qualify through the series’ official Time Attack on iRacing, where the top-120 eligible advance. Those students are split into three groups of 40, determined by a snake split of the Time Attack results.

Snake Split Format:

Group 1 – 1, 4, 7…118

Group 2 – 2, 5, 8…119

Group 3 – 3, 6, 9…120

FIRST ROUND, FIRST ROUND LCQs & SECOND ROUND | WEEK 1

Each group runs two 20-truck Heat Races. The top-eight advance to the Second Round. Those remaining form the 24-truck LCQ. The top-10 in the LCQ advance to the Second Round and the rest are eliminated from the tournament.

26 trucks face off in the Second Round Feature Race. Students must finish in the top-half to advance to the Semifinals in Week 2.

SEMIFINALS, SEMIFINAL LCQs & FINAL ROUND | WEEK 2

The Semifinals start with a new qualifying session for the 39 remaining students, splitting them into three Heat Races. The top-five advance to the Final Round. The 24-truck Semifinal LCQ promotes 10 more students into the Final Round. The rest are eliminated from the tournament.

25 students compete in the Final Round where the winner takes home $3,000 in scholarships.

The broadcast for both weeks of each Tournament will start at 7:00 p.m. ET. During Week 1, each Group will run through its entirety before the next begins.
