2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series | Peachtree Pursuit at EchoPark | Week 1 Tournament Preview

The 2026-27 season for the eNASCAR College iRacing Series presented by Logitech G kicks off on Wednesday night at the track formerly known as Atlanta, EchoPark Speedway. Titled the Peachtree Pursuit, 100 collegiate competitors are set to run the gauntlet, with the Quarterfinal and Semifinal rounds of the Tournament showcasing all 100 qualified students and their schools. Only 40 can advance on to Week 2 and the Final round.
From September 15th to September 20th, over 270 eligible collegiate iRacers took to the official Time Attack in hopes of qualifying for the season opening eNASCAR College iRacing Series Tournament.

LAST TOURNAMENT
The final Tournament of the 2025-26 eNASCAR College iRacing Series season took hopeful students down to South Beach for a Sunset Splash of a time around Homestead-Miami Speedway. With a championship in the balance, the University of Calgary’s Connor Yeroschak didn’t need to win a fourth Tournament of the season to lock it up, but it wasn’t like he wasn’t about to try.
Unfortunately, the best Yeroschak could do was fifth, which was more than enough to take his first eNASCAR title. Ahead of him, it was a walk off of a lifetime for graduating senior Logan Clampitt from California State University, Fullerton, in his final race in the series, claiming victory over Pasco-Hernando’s Dylan Basen and Saddleback’s John Forbes Jr.
TRACK INFO
With over 125,000 seats, the 1.54-mile EchoPark Speedway, located about 20 miles south of downtown Atlanta in Hampton, GA, has come a very long way from the first race. That inaugural race was held in 1960 and won by NASCAR legend Fireball Roberts, who also took the pole at just 133 mph. Spectators from that day, who watched from one small grandstand or on blankets spread out on an adjacent dirt bank, wouldn’t begin to recognize the facility today, even down to the name.
Dubbed Atlanta International Raceway when it opened, the track struggled financially through the ’60s and ’70s before finding a degree of stability in the ’80s. Real change came following Bruton Smith’s purchase of the facility in 1990, with the culmination of the transformation of Atlanta International Speedway occurring in 1997 following an extensive reconfiguration that switched front and back straightaways and added a double-dogleg in the new front straightaway.
In the seven intervening years, new grandstands sprouted almost every year, along with a nine-story tower, Tara Place, that houses the track offices and a number of luxury condominiums. Subsequently the “Winners Grandstand” was erected overlooking the double-dogleg frontstretch and pits, along with the new private-membership Club One, which features climate-controlled views of the entire track.
ABOUT THE SERIES
The eNASCAR College iRacing Series presented by Logitech G gives college students from the United States and Canada the opportunity to compete for their share of $60,000 in scholarships. Using the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series vehicles, 100 drivers qualify for each Tournament by registering and posting their fastest lap times in the Time Attack through the iRacing UI. With hundreds of colleges and universities represented in each Time Attack, drivers are competing not only against the greater iRacing community, but also their own classmates, for a spot on the newly-minted bracket.
Week 1 of the Peachtree Pursuit starts on Wednesday, September 23rd, at 7:00 p.m. ET. Week 2 will take place one week later, on Wednesday, September 30th. The next Tournament is the Queen City Crown at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Time Attacks open on September 29th and run until October 4th.
