One last eNASCAR showdown in 2023 is set to go off on Tuesday night with the return of the eNASCAR International iRacing Invite. Some of the top drivers from around the world, scattered across the many disciplines of national and international NASCAR series racing, will compete against one another in a doubleheader feature that includes the Los Angeles Coliseum and Brands Hatch Indy, with the top star at the end of the night scoring a $5,000 prize.

The Series:

Previously, we’ve seen both the eNASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing Series and the eNASCAR International iRacing Series provide sim racing action with the former hosting NASCAR Cup Series competitors and the latter featuring International flair, as well as some of the drivers from the NASCAR Drive for Diversity. The eNASCAR International iRacing Invite combines the two, bringing together some of the top real-world names you might find occasionally on iRacing. More than 25 racers, including representatives from the NASCAR Canada Series, NASCAR Mexico Series, NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, NASCAR Brasil Sprint Race, and NASCAR’s three national touring series, will be on the roster for this special event.

The Schedule:

Tuesday night will feature a pair of races in two different countries, the first race representing the oval roots of the top levels of NASCAR Cup and the second providing road racing action at one of the oldest courses in the United Kingdom.

The action kicks off in California at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, with racing on the temporary quarter-mile oval built inside the famed stadium. In February 2024, this venue will host the NASCAR Mexico Series for the first time, the opening act to the third annual NASCAR Cup Series Busch Clash at the Coliseum. Following that, we head over to Kent, England, to race again on the Brands Hatch Circuit, specifically the shorter Indy layout. In 2024, the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series will stage a doubleheader at Brands Hatch on June 8-9.

LA Coliseum

6:00pm ET – Qualifying Begins (2 laps, 3 minutes)
6:05pm ET – Heat Races Begin (3 heats, 12 laps each, no cautions – top 6 transfer to feature)
6:20pm ET – Feature Green Flag (40 laps, manual cautions)
6:35pm ET – LA Coliseum – Checkered Flag

Brands Hatch Circuit – Indy

6:45pm ET – Qualifying (2 laps, 5 minutes)
6:50pm ET – Sprint Race Begins (8 laps, no cautions – top 8 drivers from Sprint finish inverted for Feature)
7:05pm ET – Green Flag (16 laps, no cautions)
7:20pm ET – Brands Hatch Indy – Checkered Flag

The Car:

Both races will feature the NASCAR Xfinity Series B-Class cars, including the Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, and Toyota Supra. All three are powered by a 358 cu in (5.8 liter) pushrod V8 putting out 650-700 hp (450 hp with restrictor plates) and sport non-adjustable nose “splitters” and rear spoilers, along with a variety of safety features including double frame rails aligning with the front and rear bumpers to improve protection in side impacts.

The Drivers:

The list of drivers will range among many well known real-world racers in multiple NASCAR racing series across the globe, all of which tout some iRacing prowess. On the roster, you’ll find NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr., 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff driver Parker Kligerman, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series front-runners Ty Majeski, Carson Hocevar, and Rajah Caruth, all drivers that compete on the weekends in the top three levels of US-based NASCAR racing. Other drivers expected to contend for the wins include Treyten Lapcevich from the Canada Series, Paul Jouffreau from the Euro Series, Victor Barrales and Jake Cosio in the Mexico Series, and former iRacing pro Jeff Giassi in the Brasil Sprint Race.
