Landon Cardoza earns first career 2025-26 World of Outlaws iRacing Pro Series victory at Huset’s
November 25th, 2025 by Justin Melillo
In the second race of the 2025-26 World of Outlaws iRacing Pro Series season, a first-time winner found his way to victory lane at Huset’s Speedway on Monday night. Not only did Landon Cardoza need to fight his way to the front, but he had to hold off the defending series champion in the closing laps to score his maiden victory.
Despite starting third in the Feature, a row ahead of Blake Carrick, Cardoza moved up to second early, but lost the spot to Carrick as they both chased the inverted pole winner JD Brown. Carrick held the lead for the majority of the way, but with six to go, he managed to get ahead. Logan Rumsey, however, was right on his behind, following through to the runner-up position. Cardoza held on and took the win.
“This means a lot to us,” Cardoza said post-race. “We’ve been working our butts off for the last couple of weeks, ever since I joined BBS. This is something I don’t think I ever dreamed of… it’s just crazy that it became real. It’s something I never would have expected going into this season.”

With the win, Cardoza moves up to the top of the standings by 17 points heading into the third round of the season at Williams Grove next week. However, as it’s been in the first two events, Cardoza and the rest of the field will need to requalify their way back onto the roster through the Qualifying Series races this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
QUALIFYING
During the regular races in the 2025-26 World of Outlaws iRacing Pro Series season, 22 drivers will qualify for each Feature race. Eight of those spots are filled almost immediately through Qualifying, where the first 25 points of the night are on the line. Setting quick time will earn 25 points, but will invert that driver to starting eighth in the Feature, whereas eighth will invert to the pole position, but only collect 17 points. Everyone from ninth on back in Qualifying are to be split into four equal Heat races.
Tanner Pettit set the quick time during qualifying, earning 25 points, but cementing himself in at eighth on the starting grid for the Feature. Logan Rumsey, a week removed from being unable to qualify for the Feature at Volusia, locked in with a P2 run. Carrick was fourth, while Cardoza put himself in sixth. Inverting to the pole for the second-straight Huset’s race was JD Brown, who qualified in eighth.
Qualifying Transfers:
- Tanner Pettit
- Logan Rumsey
- Aiden Stull
- Blake Carrick
- Joey Lingron
- Landon Cardoza
- Hayden Cardwell
- JD Brown
HEATS
In the four Heat races, up to eight drivers compete for eight laps, the top-three finishers advancing to the Feature later in the night. Points are awarded to the finishing positions in each Heat, that way all 40 drivers walk away with something for making the show. Heat winners earn 15 points, while eighth place finishers only claim eight points. The 20 drivers that don’t advance to the Feature through Qualifying or the Heats are sent to one of the two Last Chance Shootout races.
Mason Hannagan once again was victorious in his Heat, winning the first one on the night. Ethan Johnson scored the win in Heat 2, while Aiden Forster won it in Heat 3. Alex Bergeron also transferred in through Heat 3, finishing third, but just barely over Seth Gregory. In the fourth and final Heat, Adam Elby won despite wheel-to-wheel contact with Kenny Hoffman on Lap 3. Hoffman fell out of the top-three initially, but fought back in after an incident took Blake Matjoulis out of the spot ahead.
Heat 1 Transfers:
- Mason Hannagan
- Tyler Schell
- Kellan Sabo
Heat 2 Transfers:
- Ethan Johnson
- Bradley Cox
- Timothy Smith
Heat 3 Transfers:
- Aiden Forster
- Kadyn Berry
- Alex Bergeron
Heat 4 Transfers:
- Adam Elby
- Ryan Avila

LAST CHANCE SHOOTOUTS
The final shot to race in the Feature is by winning one of the two Last Chance Showdown races. These races include up to 10 cars each, but only the winner can move on. There are no points awarded in these races.
In both cases, Aiden Price and Spencer Putney were able to pull away and transfer in while the field behind all got physical racing for second place instead. Big names eliminated included Matjoulis, a lap leader last week in Dylan Yeager, and an LCS winner last week in Noah Carpenter.

FEATURE RACE
Brown led the field to the green flag and led the opening nine laps before being overtaken by Carrick on Lap 10. Cardoza followed through into second and ran in Carrick’s wake through the midsection as the rest of the field spread out. Rumsey, from the seventh starting spot, was mired back in fifth through the first third of the race as the midfield was still sorting itself out.
While the Feature saw no cautions, Tyler Schell was taken out of contention on the 10th lap. Last year’s winner, Ryan Avila, was mired in the traffic, racing around last week’s winner, Bergeron, as everyone kept it green until the end. Eventually, Rumsey made his way up into third on Lap 20 of the 35-lap Feature, but up ahead, Cardoza was beginning to reel in Carrick.
With nine laps to go, Cardoza was there, right on Carrick’s back bumper, making contact with eight laps to go, watching Rumsey close into the battle with seven to go. The laps were clicking down fast, and Cardoza had to make his move before he was overtaken. Contact between the leaders, but they kept it going straight, and Cardoza was clear to the lead. Rumsey made his way up into second, but by that time, Cardoza had gotten into an unbeatable rhythm, scoring his first victory.
