Hugo Luis put an end to Greger Huttu’s five race iRacing.com World Championship Grand Prix Series winning streak with an emphatic victory at Silverstone. The My3id driver started on pole and worked a one stop strategy to perfection to come home ahead of a Team Redline threesome headed by Atze Kerkhof with Huttu third and Luke McLean fourth.

Although Luis cruised to a relatively comfortable 8.3s margin of victory, the battle between Kerkhof and Huttu was decided by little more than half a second, perhaps proving there are no team orders at Team Redline.

Despite his win, Luis still trails Huttu by 99 points heading to Round 10 at Spa-Francorchamps on July 13. Don’t forget, however, that Luis opened the season with a win at the virtual Belgian circuit . . . curiously coming home ahead of Kerkhof, Huttu and McLean.
