Welcome back to This Week in iRacing, our weekly post which details all you need to know about what is going on in the world of iRacing!

From official eSports to some of the top community-driven events, and everything in between, here’s what you should know for Week 8 of 2023 Season 4, from October 31st to November 6th.

For the Members: iRacing Official Series Highlights

Every week, iRacing offers daily, even hourly racing that members can get into, based on where their license level is at. There are also some special series that run at specific times that anyone can jump into, with the right credentials, that offer a more meaningful sim racing experience. Here are a few of the highlighted series taking place this week.

NASCAR iRACING SERIES / SPECIAL EVENT: 2023 iRACING PHOENIX NASCAR FINALE / WINTER NiS ANNOUNCED

Following the NASCAR Cup Series schedule, the NASCAR iRacing Series (both Open Setup and Fixed Setup) heads to Phoenix Raceway for the final race on the 2023 calendar. The year started with a full length race at Daytona, and once again, it will end with a full length contest at Phoenix. The 2023 iRacing Phoenix NASCAR Finale will be just like the real-world event—500 kilometers, 312 laps around the one-mile facility in Avondale, Arizona.

The races this week are scheduled for:

Fixed Schedule: Wednesday, 21:00 GMT; Friday, 01:00 GMT; Saturday, 10:00 and 16:00 GMT; Monday, 01:00 GMT

Open Schedule: Thursday, 01:00 and 18:00 GMT; Saturday, 01:00 GMT; Sunday, 14:00 GMT

During the NASCAR offseason, it was announced that the Winter NASCAR iRacing Series (WNiS) will return for a second season, once again contesting with the 1987 NASCAR Cup Series vehicles. The full schedule is available on the iRacing Forums.

FIA F4 ESPORTS REGIONAL TOURS

While all iRacers are eligible to run in any region’s event, the servers will always be set to the most appropriate iRacing server for each region.

Week 8 Schedule:

  • Americas: Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
  • Asia-Pacific: Twin Ring Motegi – GP
  • Europe-North: Nürburgring Grand-Prix-Strecke
  • Europe-South: Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya – Historic

RING MEISTER / DRAFT MASTER COMBINATIONS

Two of the more unique daily racing series added in recent seasons are the Ring Meister Ricmotech Series and the Draft Master Series, where the cars change every week as opposed to the tracks.

Ring Meister (every ODD hour EST/GMT) takes place at the Nürburgring Nordschleife – Industriefahrten and cycles through mostly road-type racing vehicles every week.

As for Draft Master (every hour), there are two tracks—Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway—and six NASCAR vehicles that each track will cycle through. Once again, the series is set to take on Talladega this week.

Week 8 Schedule:

  • Ring Meister: Radical SR10 at Nürburgring Nordschleife – Industriefahrten
  • Draft Master: (legacy) NASCAR Chevrolet Impala COT at Talladega Superspeedway

The BMW M Sim Cup returns on Sunday, November 5 with another 120-minute, multi-class BMW contest at the all-new Circuit Zandvoort Grand Prix 2023 edition track. Racing starts at 13:00 GMT (and considering that there will be a clock change for the end of Daylight Savings Time this weekend, it will be at 8:00 AM EST as opposed to it’s usual time at 9:00)
