The first World of Outlaws iRacing Pro Series Tournament is set for Monday night, the fifth race of the 2025-26 season, and the final race of the 410 Sprint Car half of the schedule.

For races 1 through 4, and 6 through 9, the driver roster is set each week through the Pro Qualifying Series races that are open to all iRacing members with a Class A Dirt Oval license. This time, however, the list of drivers was taken from the overall standings on the season, with the top-60 eligible points scorers earning an invite to the festivities. With 60 drivers entered, the format is slightly adjusted, but the points scoring remains the same. The 410 Sprint Car Segment is set to conclude, plus there will be money on the line, with the Tournament winner collecting $6,000.

For the fifth race of the season, the Pro Series field will take on Knoxville Raceway. The main event will include a 35-lap feature for 23 cars that qualify in through qualifying, heat races, and last chance qualifiers. The action starts at 8:00 p.m. ET and it will be live on DIRTVision and across all of iRacing’s social media channels.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

These races feature qualifying and heat racing to determine the 23 drivers that will compete in the main race. It will be slightly different than the four opening rounds.

What stays the same is that the top-eight qualifiers will immediately transfer to the feature. The driver who sets the fastest time in Qualifying scores 25 points, second place scores 23 points, and points are paid out through the transfer spots to eighth, who will receive 17 points. When the Tournament Feature Race begins, the top-eight will invert, with the pole sitter starting eighth and the eighth place qualifier starting on the pole.

For everyone else who does not qualify in, there will be six heat races of eight laps each, adding two from the previous rounds. In these Heats, however, only the top-two finishers will advance forward through to the main event. Heat races still pay out points to all drivers, with the winner scoring 15 points and ninth place taking home seven points.

There will also be three 12-lap consolation races for those who don’t advance through Qualifying or the Heat races, up an additional race than normal, where only the winner in each will move on, but no additional points are scored.

The Feature race will still be set at 35 laps, but 23 drivers will line up on the grid from the 60 potential entries. The Feature race winner will score 100 points, making the maximum number of points on any given night 125 for a pole and Feature win. This race also offers a purse of $11,000, as the two Tournaments offer the biggest payouts of the year. The winner at the end of the night pockets $6,000, with cash paid out through the top-five finishers and sixth through tenth earning iRacing Credits.

TRACK INFO

Located at the Marion County Fairgrounds in Knoxville, Iowa, USA, this half-mile dirt oval raceway is revered as the “Sprint Car Capital of the World”.

Every August, the Knoxville Nationals, the paramount Sprint Car event in the United States, is held at Knoxville Raceway. The event takes place over four days, and now features a nearly one-million-dollar prize purse. The track was originally built in the late 1800s as a horse racing venue, and has progressed from racing stock cars to modifieds to supermodifieds to its current sprint cars.

LAST RACE

One week ago, another new winner on the year added his name to the list. For most of the race at Lincoln Speedway, it looked as though that name would be Logan Rumsey, the defending World of Outlaws iRacing Pro Series champion. His title defense has been shaky this season, missing a Feature at one point, and entering the night outside the top-1o in the points standings. His first win looked to be on, but Ryan Avila decided it would be his night. In the closing laps, Avila hounded Rumsey, who looked to have a perfect defensive line. However, on the last lap, Avila sent it, made it stick, and wound up the victor.

LAST SEASON

If there’s any solace for Rumsey, it’s the fact that the biggest test of the season comes at the place where he’s seen some of his biggest successes in this series. Knoxville Raceway was the site of Rumsey’s first career win in the Sprint Cars, and last season, he continued that streak, earning his second win at the venue. After inverting to second alongside Adam Elby, it only took Rumsey seven laps to get around and into the lead. From there, he was able to hang on for the win, reclaiming the points lead en route to ultimately winning the title that season.
