January 8th, 2018 by Matt Holden

Week four of the Season 1 Class C season is in the books, and this time we actually got a race in with the Truck Project!  Last Thursday Alex Scribner, Jeff Parker, and I all got into the 9:45pm Eastern race and were able to shakedown the truck in a full-bore, “this matters” type … Read the Rest »

December 24th, 2016 by Matt Holden

As we approach the holidays and the close of 2016, instead of putting more information out there, I’d like to send everyone on a mission.  It’s pretty simple, and the few weeks we’ll have should be plenty of time:  Get your spring package right!  In previous racing sims, that was pretty simple, right?  iRacing’s … Read the Rest »

August 7th, 2015 by

Nick Ottinger has 11 wins in the NASCAR PEAK Antifreeze Series.  From our first ever NPAS race (and win) at Phoenix in 2012 to last night at Indianapolis, I’ve called the shots for 10 of them, the 11th being the 2013 race at Kentucky where Peter Fisher brought it home while I was at Charlotte … Read the Rest »

Formula One: History of an American Spectator

March 15th, 2014 by

Formula One is changing, a lot.  The 2014 season is upon us and, like F1 junkies around the world, I’ll be staying up late (or getting up early) to watch the Australian Grand Prix this weekend.  Like a hopeless gambler haunting the Las Vegas casinos at hours when most mammals would be sleeping, F1 has … Read the Rest »

Red Sox Milk is a Natural 30 at Indy

July 21st, 2013 by

Outside of Vincent’s timing issues, there was very little drama to be had during the grid-setting session. Much of the field played nicely over the 13-turn, 2.6 mile course, with teammates and non-teammates alike drafting one another in the high speed sections, trying to gain that last bit of speed. Troy Harder kept his chances … Read the Rest »

We look forward to our local fans and racing game enthusiasts from all over the world being able to participate in online racing series that include Thompson International Speedway.” Hoenig, who holds an MBA degree from Pepperdine University and whose great-grandfather began construction of the speedway in 1938, also noted that as host to a NASCAR touring series and seven of its own racing classes, each year the track saw a number of drivers make their maiden appearances.  “Just as many NASCAR Sprint Cup stars such as Joey Logano and Martin Truex, Jr.

The Power of Skip Propels You

December 19th, 2009 by

Lately I have been running the engine so hard in the Skip Barber F2000 that it wails in such a way that I think I need to call Father Karras. In the past I was kind and gentle to the powertrain, but now I’ve learned that it needs to be pushed closer to the limit … Read the Rest »
