Caterham’s premier race machine, the 420R, is designed exclusively for racing. The official car of the Seven Championship UK, the 420R can be frequently spotted at top British tracks like Silverstone, Brands Hatch, and Donington—and even tracks like Spa, Nurburgring, and Bushy Park Barbados have joined in on the fun over the years.
Equipped with a two-liter Ford Duratec engine and six-speed sequential gearbox, the 420R produces more than 210 horsepower at a weight of just 635 kg (1,400 lbs). It features bespoke Bilstein race dampers and Nova Motorsport tires, with unique specifications for both slick and wet conditions. As the spec car of Caterham’s official national championship in the UK, the 420R is often supported by professional teams that keep it in top condition.
